Ann Johnston Parker went to be with her Lord on April 27, 2025 after a short illness. She passed away at her home in Stafford, VA. peacefully.
Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry Parker and his family; her two brothers, Edward C. Johnston Jr. (Judith) of Highland Springs, VA and James M. Johnston of Daleville, VA (fiance' Peggy); three nieces; two nephews; five great-nieces; and two great-nephews whom she loved dearly. On each of the niece's and nephew's birthdays, their Aunt Ann sent them one dollar equal to the number of their ages! Ann also had many high school friends with whom she stayed in frequent contact.
She was preceded in passing by her father, Edward C. Johnston, Sr.; and Mother Elizabeth Adale Coleman Johnston of Lexington, VA.
Ann was a vibrant, energetic and popular young lady, with a sense of humor, wit, and curiosity. She was educated in Rockbridge County public schools and graduated from Lexington High School in 1968. Ann attended William and Mary College, where she graduated in 1972. Ann was a long-time member of Collierstown Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Virginia.
After college, Ann relocated to northern Virginia and was employed by Blue Cross & Blue Shield for 30 plus years and retired from Blue Cross. Ann married Jerry Parker on November 7, 2009, a US Federal Government employee. Upon selling her home in McLean, Virginia, they moved to Stafford, VA, where they were living at the time of her passing.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Covenant Funeral Service, 1310 Courthouse Rd., Stafford VA 22554.
