Debora Kay Thompson Pugh, 68, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, James E. and Effie M. Thompson, and father and mother-in-law, Carl W. and Ruby B. Pugh.
Surviving are her loving husband and soulmate of 50 years, Carl W. Pugh, Jr; sons, Joshua L. Pugh and Holly M. Maske, and Luke E. Pugh and wife, Tara N. Pugh; and four wonderful grandchildren, William Dutch Pugh, Ava Marie Pugh, Dylan Lee Pugh and Alyssa Marie Pugh. Also surviving is a very special sister, Janice T. Burton; and very special brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Carrie Pugh; niece, Ashlyn Pugh; nephews, Brian Fralin and wife, Christy and family, and Carson Pugh (Kaitlin). She is also survived by special family, friends, neighbors and prayer warriors: including Bonnie, Jeannie and Nancy Keenan, Teresa and Mitch Whitlock and the awesome women in her ALHS dinner group. She was forever grateful for all the love, kindness and prayers shown during her journey.
Spending time with family and faithful canine, Leo, traveling in the United States and Europe with Carl and gardening were her passions and fed her soul. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Western Community College with a major in Horticulture.
