There's a buzz in Craig County right now. The high school football team is 2-0 for the first time in 15 years, and Carter Calfee has played a big role in that.
The senior running back not only rushed for 150 yards and scored two touchdowns on just eight carries, averaging over 18 yards per attempt, he returned two punts to the end zone as well to record a four-touchdown performance as the Rockets blasted Bland County 56-0 last Friday night in Rocky Gap.

"It's great right now. Everybody's pumped up, excited," Calfee told The Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø. "The energy's at a new place I haven't seen since I've played here."
Calfee is the Week 2 Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø high school football player of the week, beating out five other candidates in a reader poll. He garnered 29.4% of the vote.

What is the best thing to do in Craig County:Â "Probably outdoor stuff. If you like to hunt and fish and hike, this is a good area. It's a national forest, so that's probably the best way to spend your time."
