JEFF BROHM ON TURNING LAST YEAR'S CLOSE LOSSES INTO WINS: "We had four games where we lost by a touchdown or less and had a chance to win in every one. But we made some critical mistakes, and that's not only as players but coaches as well. So (we've been) spending the offseason trying to find ways to fix that, make sure it doesn't happen again, have answers to problems, have the solution ready to go as soon as something happens. Being consistent in what we do, being sharp, everyone being on the same page will be the key to winning a lot of these close games."
BROHM ON QB AND SOUTHERN CAL TRANSFER MILLER MOSS: "He's done a really good job with us since we got him in January. He's been a good leader. Gives us a veteran guy with experience. We have some weapons around him that can take a little pressure off of him. Hopefully we can play good defense to take some pressure off of him. He's hungry. He wants to go out with a bang. He's had good games (for USC) and he's had some games maybe he could've played a little better, but that's the position of quarterback. You'll get way more credit when you're doing well and you get way more blame when you're not. And he, unfortunately, got a little blame when things weren't going as well as he wanted."
WR CHRIS BELL ON THE RECEIVERS: "We're going to be very explosive. It's not just going to be Caullin (Lacy) and Chris. It's going to be the AFROSÌý— that's what we call ourselves, America's Finest Receivers on Saturday. (Receivers coach Deion Branch) brought it back."
